II. Multiple Google Accounts

This is the most common log-in issue experienced by our users. The solution below also applies to people who may also have Gmail, YouTube, Picasa, Google+ (etc) accounts. The ARC website is a Google account, so if you have any others, you have multiple Google accounts.

Symptom: When you try to log in to the ARC website, you see a message like this:

Figure 1.

1. Look in the upper right corner of your browser window for your name (or whatever name appears in the upper right corner) and click on the inverted triangle (see below: the inverted triangle is next to the name Torsten Heycke). After you click on that triangle, you will see something like this:

Figure 2.

2. Click on the "Add account" button. You will see something like the following (NOTE: I have broken this image into two parts so it can be displayed here). The first part (Figure 3 below) just tells you what Google account you might be logged into at the moment (this includes Gmail, YouTube, Picasa, Google+, etc). This shows I am logged in as teesbees@gmail.com.

The second part (shown below in Figure 4) is the more important for our discussion. You are prompted to enter the information regarding the account you wish to add. For the Email, enter your Ashland Rowing Club username plus the domain name. What you will type will be in the form of: username@ashlandrowingclub.org. Two examples: I would type in: torsten@ashlandrowingclub.org . James Adams would type in: james@ashlandrowingclub.org (NOTE: do NOT type in your mind.net email, your google email, your Yahoo email, etc). Then, in the Password field also add your ARC web password. Then click the "Sign in" button.

That's all you should need to do for this browser. You may still have to click on the member login button, but you will usually be transferred directly to the members area.

3. After you add an account, you can toggle between multiple Google accounts, by selecting the account in the upper-right corner of the browser.
This can include multiple ARC accounts if you share a computer with someone.

If this is not clear to you, please tell me what part is not clear and I will try to make it better.
