Summer Camps typically run 4 days and offer a wide variety of instruction from LTR through intermediate. Slots in camps and clinics are open to new rowers and current club members and are filled on a first come/ first served basis. Non-members wishing to continue rowing after completion of a camp and upon recommendation of the instructor, may join the ongoing Green (novice) turnouts as a seasonal member. New members must attend a club orientation and complete a swimming test. Private lessons are available from April 1 to October 1. Lessons are four sessions for 1.5 hours each. They are scheduled by the instructor with the client and are expected to be completed within 2 weeks of the start date. Non-members completing the LTR private lessons may, with instructor approval,join the ongoing Green (novice) turnouts as a seasonal member. They must attend a club orientation and complete a swimming test before joining the turnouts. Please note that persons completing LTR Private Lessons after August 31 must wait until the following year to join the club and may attend the Learn to Row clinic, the following April, at no extra charge. Seasonal memberships are available from May 1 through October 31. The last day to start a seasonal membership is August 31. New members are required to complete a swimming test and attend an orientation meeting. Experienced rowers, new to the club, will be required to meet with an instructor for an evaluation at which time an appropriate level of membership will be suggested. A swim test and orientation will be required for membership. Private lesson fee schedule: Individual $160 ARC Club members who have not completed the Introductory Rowing Clinic will pay the amounts shown above. All other club members are welcome to arrange fees directly with the coach. A certificate of completion will be provided detailing the skills you have completed and the type of boat you rowed.
