Sun, Water, Rowing, Fun.  Spend your summer mornings on the water at Emigrant Lake. 
 
Learn to row or improve your skills in one- or two-person boats from our team of experienced coaches.  These sessions are open to teens (freshman and up) and adults. Sessions are limited to 12 participants.
 
Print, fill out and mail completed attachments (see below) to 175 Emigrant Lake Rd., Ashland, OR  97520.  Be sure to indicate which week(s) you want to attend.

Participants are required to pass a swim test.  Swim tests will be given at the lake on the first day of each session.  Non-swimmers will wear a life jacket.

Time: Mon - Thurs, 8:00 -10:00am 

Session 1: June 14-17
Session 2: July 5-8
Session 3: August 9-12

Fee:   $120 a week or $285 for 3 consecutive weeks.

Teens who want to continue rowing with the ARC Junior Team must have coach's approval and demonstrate proficiency in rowing and handling equipment.
 
Where:  Emigrant Lake, Ashland Rowing Club boathouse on left at top of first dam.
 
What to wear:  Wear comfortable clothing you can work out in but nothing too baggy. Baggy shorts will get caught in the moving seats in the boat. Bring sneakers or flip-flops and old socks. You do not wear shoes in the boat but will need socks to wear in the shoes provided.  Do not plan to row in a bathing suit top or bottom.

Extra Stuff to Bring:  Sunscreen, sunglasses, full water bottle, healthy snacks (fruit, cheese, peanut butter) and a towel. 

Participants will learn to row in singles and doubles, handle the equipment, and safely re-enter a flipped boat.
